Hang the high gas prices! It’s still full speed ahead for MDC’s Second Annual Torch Run Bike Rally on Saturday, June 21, to benefit Special Olympics New Mexico. Registration for the motorcycle rally will start 9 a.m. at Journal Pavilion with the Mass Ride Out starting at 10:30 a.m. It’s open to the public and last year, 180 bikers raised $10,000. The 120 mile route goes from Journal Pavilion to Jemez Springs and back. Registration costs $25 and if you want an official rally t-shirt, it’s $10 more. Bernalillo and Sandoval County Sheriffs’ Deputies will serve as escorts.
