The U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) Weatherization and Intergovernmental Program (WIP) provides financial support and technical assistance to states, local governments, and municipal utilities through the projects it manages. WIP does not provide financial assistance directly to individuals or companies. All grants for WIP-funded projects are managed by the DOE Office of Energy Efficiency and Renewable Energy (EERE) Project Management Center.

2009 American Recovery and Reinvestment Act

Congress provided more than $11 billion from the Recovery Act for Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs. See the Weatherization and Intergovernmental Programs Recovery Act Web site if you are interested in more information.
