Workshop Description

Group Photo in front of the X-1

The California State University, Los Angeles (CSULA) Minority University Mathematics, Science and Technology Awards for Teacher and Curriculum Enhancement Program [MASTAP], is a collaborative effort between the CSULA , Los Angeles Unified School District, and NASA Dryden Flight Research Center. The primary purpose of MASTAP is to support Minority Serving Institutions in their efforts to increase the number of teachers in hard-to-staff schools, and to strengthen those teacher's technical skills in mathematics, science and technology. As a result of this award, selected teachers are participating in the NASA Dryden Science Ambassador Program. The program includes a one-week training at NASA Dryden. During that week the participants will tour NASA facilities, interact with NASA personnel, and learn how to integrate NASA resources into their curriculum. The following is an interactive agenda that will be used during the training program, November 4-8, 2002.

Photos that were taken during the workshop can be viewed in the Workshop Photo Gallery.
