NASA Educational Workshop 2002
Big Idea: Models Help Scientists and Engineers Understand How Things Work
The goal of this workshop was to use the NASA mission, facilities, human resources, and programs which provided exposure and experiences to educators, supported the enhancement of knowledge and skills, and provided access to NASA information in science, mathematics, technology, and geography. Our Team was dedicated in helping NEW participants develop an understanding of past and current NASA research that was relevant to classroom instruction in science, math, technology and other subjects.
Participants were immersed in the Dryden culture and developed an understanding of how a NASA Center works and experienced, first-hand, how math, science and technology are applied. Participants developed an understanding of how to access NASA programs, products and services after they left the workshop setting, and was able to develop their own personalized action plans.
Photos that were taken during the workshop can be viewed in the Workshop Photo Gallery.
