Army Reserve family members and soldiers affected by Hurricane Katrina can call the number above 24 hours a day. There is also a website, http://www.arfp.org/skins/ARFP/home.aspx?mode=user, where families of deployed/mobilized Army Reserve soldiers and Army Reserve civilians may provide their current contact information.

Get answers to questions concerning Air Force hurricane operations by contacting the Air Force Personnel Center’s Personnel Readiness Center at 1-800-435-9941. Website

For questions that can’t be answered by AFPC, Reserve people may contact the AFRC headquarters staff at the following extensions by dialing toll free 1-800-223-1784: civilian personnel, 71206; personnel readiness center, 71262; family readiness director, 71241; chief personnel, 70390. The AFRC command center – open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week – is available at extension 70680.
NEW ORLEANS, LA., KEESLER AIR FORCE BASE PERSONNEL
All AFRC people assigned to New Orleans or Keesler Air Force Base, Miss. should check-in with their units immediately. Those assigned to the 926th Fighter Wing should call the command post at Barksdale AFB, La. at (318) 456-9233. The U.S. Office of Personnel Management (OPM) has established a toll-free assistance hotline number for current and retired federal employees and annuitants who have been impacted by Hurricane Katrina. The toll-free number will be open seven days a week during the hours of 7 a.m. and 9 p.m., Central Time.   GOVERNMENT AGENCIES

FirstGov.gov  has an extensive list of links to find loved ones, victim assistance, how to help, disaster cleanup, and agency resources.
Centers for Disease Control and Prevention  is coordinating key health and safety information for individuals, responders, and health professionals for all federal agencies.
U.S. Postal Service is reconnecting displaced and evacuated Hurricane Katrina victims with their mail. Hurricane victims in areas without telephone service or internet access should go to the nearest post office, complete a change-of-address form, and submit it to a postal retail associate at the counter or mail it. For more information visit http://www.usps.com/ or call 1-800-ASK-USPS (1-800-275-8777).
The Postal Service is working to set up special ZIP codes for sites being used to house evacuees. Postal employees at those locations are assisting people with the Change of Address process.
