ACTION: Notice. ----------------------------------------------------------------------- SUMMARY: In compliance with the Paperwork Reduction Act (PRA) of 1995 (44 U.S.C., 3501 et seq.), this notice announces that the Veterans Benefits Administration (VBA), Department of Veterans Affairs, has submitted to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) the following emergency proposal for the collection of information under the provisions of the Paperwork Reduction Act (44 U.S.C. 3507(j)(1)). The reason for the emergency clearance request is that the ongoing survey is essential to VA's mission. Disruption of the collection of information will harm VBA's efforts to carry out VA's mission. The information is used by VBA to determine if the deceased veteran had appropriate service and/or disability and that the applicant has made [[Page 50870]] payment for burial or has contracted to make appropriate payment. Affected Public: Individuals or households and Business or other for-profit. Estimated Annual Burden: 100,000 hours. Estimated Average Burden Per Respondent: 20 minutes.
