AGENCY: Bureau of Reclamation, Department of the Interior.

ACTION: Notice of intent to prepare an environmental impact statement 
and notice of meeting; additional meeting.

-----------------------------------------------------------------------

SUMMARY: The Bureau of Reclamation has added an additional scoping 
meeting in the city of Visalia regarding preparing an environmental 
impact statement for renewing existing long-term and interim contracts 
for the Central Valley Project, California. The written comments may be 
submitted in accordance with the notice published in the Federal 
Register on October 15, 1998, (63 FR 55406). The purpose of the meeting 
is to help determine the scope of the environmental analysis and to 
identify significant issues related, to this proposed action, including 
issues related to negotiations.

DATE: The Visalia meeting will be held at 7:00 p.m. on Tuesday, 
November 17, 1998.
