GREEN Institute's Open Space Stewardship Program
The second-year celebration of the Open Space Stewardship Program was held on May 22, 2008. Students met to describe the results of the work they did over the school year. Parents, teachers, administrators, and elected officials attended to applaud the students' work. Photos from the event are on the Open Space Stewardship Program's website. Photos from last year's celebration can be found here and on the Open Space Stewardship Program's website.
The Open Space Stewardship Program is focused on enabling teachers and students to assist in managing our open space properties on Long Island through scientific research and related activities. Program information can be found here (pdf). Two planning workshops were held in 2006.
