An official 501(c) (3) non-profit corporation, Watering Seeds Organization (WSO) was created to provide recreational and athletic opportunities for physically challenged individuals. Through meaningful partnerships and special events, WSO raises awareness and funding to supply the necessary adaptive sports equipment, education, and training to help challenged athletes Get off the Sidelines and into the Game!

As we all know, life is unpredictable. From birth defects, to automotive and horseback riding accidents, to disease, lives are altered daily without discrimination. Young and old, men and women of all races, religions, cultures, and creeds have their lives changed in mere seconds. In acknowledging the increasing number of amputees returning from the war overseas, WSO recognizes the importance of addressing and promoting the independence and rehabilitation of our wounded veterans…

Our grand initiative is to develop the Watering Seeds Sports Rehabilitation Center, a world-class Paralympic training facility with athletic amenities and a rehabilitation clinic that will foster a community for wounded warriors and physically challenged individuals. With our architectural design already completed by www.fellowsink.com, we are currently researching areas throughout America for the best possible location (TBA). Modeled after the Lake Placid Olympic Village, the center will provide housing at no cost to financially challenged families while visiting their family members participating in the program. In addition to providing a location for education and training, the complex will also provide an opportunity to meet, interact, and associate with other challenged athletes from around the world. Whether at work or play, we have no bounds for our center, and spare no expense in the rehabilitation process.

While the war on terrorism continues and we sit safely out of harm's way in our own homes, we need not take for granted that thousands of miles away our service men and women stand ready to put their lives on the line in order to protect our liberties and freedoms, as well as the freedom of others. Additionally, we recognize that our 2 million service men and women abroad have families and loved ones back home who go to bed every night praying for their safe return. In other words, for every single courageous member of our Armed Forces serving, there are family members back home who are, in a sense, serving and sacrificing with them. Let’s be mindful of the fact that the freedoms and liberties we enjoy daily in our beautiful country have been bought with a price!

Feed My sheep," said the Lord (John 21:17), just before He ascended into Heaven. Jesus referred to the sheep as "My sheep!" Jesus is the Great Shepherd of His people. He called upon Peter and the other disciples to take over the feeding and shepherding of His sheep. You see, Jesus, the great Shepherd, has called upon us as His disciples to serve under Him as shepherds also. Our wounded heroes are His sheep that need to be fed!

Friends, on behalf of WSO, I encourage you to “water the seeds” of those in need, especially at Walter Reed. You can invest in a wounded warrior today by making a tax-deductible contribution online to WSO through our secure Donate page, or by simply mailing your donation to our office address listed on the Contact Us page. All I ask is that your gift be presented with a cheerful heart, “for God loves a cheerful giver.” (II Corinthians 9:7)

God Bless America
