Restricted Duty

Only an OMC physician or nurse may prescribe restricted duty for work related job activities. Employees with notes from personal healthcare providers that specify restricted or light duty should report to the OMC for discussion of the recommended restrictions and filing of doctor notes in the OMC medical record.

Employees will be advised if their physician's recommendations can be followed or whether their health status requires further evaluation.

Supervisors should not place employees on Restricted Duty without written direction from the OMC.
