Mayn River, Siberia

The Mayn River, seen here with what is thought to be a portion of the Anadyr River, flows through the far northeastern corner of Siberia.

This image was acquired by Landsat 7's Enhanced Thematic Mapper plus (ETM+) sensor on October 25, 2000. This is a natural color composite image made using red, green, and blue wavelengths. The image has also been sharpened using the sensor's panchromatic band.
