I feel the U.S. needs to discontinue the feeding Mammalian proteins for several reasons.
1. Is the possible transmission of TSE's eliciting an outbreak of BSE.
2. There has been economic hardship for breeders looking to export embryos and live cattle to the EU. As well as export companies and veterinarians.
3. Mammalian protein can be substituted with vegetable products.
