Dear FDA,

I find it outrageous that the FDA, a federal agency charged with protecting 
 the public, would hesitate for even ONE INSTANT to require labeling of 
genetically modified foods. You do NOT exist to protect corporate 
profits!!  The LEAST you could do is require labeling NOW and leave the 
corporations with the onus of pleading for REMOVING them if they make 
their case. PROTECT US FIRST!! That is your job. Labeling is nothing more 
than identifying a TRUTH: "This product was genetically modified." With or 
without ANY other evidence, this is a FACT and we, the public, shoud know 
it, and be allowed to decide FOR OURSELVES what we want.

How can a group of people -- your organization -- decide for the ENTIRE 
POPULATION that they do no have the right to know how their food came to 
be on the shelf.

You require statements on Supplements, don't you?

You require Nutritional Statements, don't you?

WE want labelling!!! It is an affront and a crime to keep the facts away 
from millions of people. This is not Nazi Germany yet. You either act like 
we live in a democracy, or once and for all take off your masks. 

OURS should be the decision what to buy and not to buy. THERE IS NO NEED 
to protect corporate interests. THEIR interests should be to satisfy US, 
the consumers (as their oh-so-sweet ads always say). What is the FDA doing 
shielding THEM from the public's Need To Know?

Voluntary labelling is a SHAM -- designed not to help the PUBLIC, whih is 
your ONLY reason to exist.

There are NO two sides to this issue (if your role is to protect the 
public). Protect us by requiring the TRUTH -- the FACTS -- or we will know 
you now and forever for what you are: You exist with our tax dollars and 
no longer serve us.
 
Do the RIGHT Thing. The ONLY Thing that befits your mandate: REQUIRE 
LABELING.
