Consumers MUST be given full disclosure on each product that contains genetically engineered elements! This disclosure must be contained on the packaging in type large enough for elderly and disabled people to read. Many citizens of this country are ethically and spiritually concerned about consuming foods that contain genes or other elements not permitted by their religious practice. Also, many people have serious allergies and need this information to protect themselves from life and health-threatening reactions. In addition, there are no long term independent studies that demonstrate the safety of genetically engineered foods.
