FDA Commissioner Food and Drug Administration 5630 Fishers Lane Room 1061 (HFA-305) Rockville, MD 20852 RE: Docket No. 98P-1194 Dear Sir or Madam: I am writing to request that you immediately remove rBGH from the market. Doesn't the Food, Drug and Cosmetic Act require you to withdraw animal drugs from the market that show evidence of imminent health hazards? Abundant scientific evidence shows that rBGH causes health problems in both cows and humans. You are supposed to be insuring the safety of our food supply, and from what I've seen with organic standards and genetically engineered foods, you're failing miserably. Why do you allow rBGH on the market when Canada and the European Union do not? Yours truly, Mark Lipsman Mark Lipsman 38 Harvard Road Littleton, MA, 01460 CC: FDA Dockets Management Branch, docket 98P-1194 President Bush Vice President Cheney Senator Edward M.
