DOE Small Business Conference June 12-15, 2005

LIDC PTAP - Procurement Technical Assistance Program. This program is designed to give assistance to small businesses desiring to win contracts to supply the government, both federal and state, in addition to large corporate entities, with the goods and services they need.

LIDC - Long Island Development Corporation is a regional economic development, not-for-profit corporation which makes long term, affordable loans to small businesses. LIDC is not a bank, but it is the premier small business lender on Long Island.

LIFT - Long Island Forum for Technology is a not-for-profit organization that provides Long Island businesses with hands-on assistance and a wide range of programs to lower the cost of operations and increase growth.

LISTnet - The objective of LISTnet is to promote Long Island as one of the national centers of excellence for Software and Technology solutions. This is achieved by facilitating collaborations between companies, establishing forums and events for the exchange of information, improving the quantity of the labor force and partnering with companies that provide the High technology Centers necessary for the growth of L.I. software and technology companies. Our goal is increased business for every LISTnet partner.

Small Business Development Center @ Farmingdale State - The goal of the Small Business Development Center (SBDC) is to help entrepreneurs, businesses, and industry become more productive and profitable. By assisting new and existing small businesses, the SBDC contributes to the economic stability and growth of Long Island and New York State.

Small Business Development Center @ SUNY - Stony Brook - One of twenty-three campus-based regional Small Business Development Centers within New York State, the SBDC at Stony Brook brings together the resources of the University, the private sector and government at all levels to assist entrepreneurs, business and industry in the solution of their problems, leading to increased productivity and profitability.

Suffolk County Women’s Enterprise Coalition - The Suffolk County Women's Business Enterprise Coalition was established to promote women-owned businesses (WBE's). The SCWBEC is dedicated to registering every WBE on Long Island to ensure that human resource personnel and purchasing agents are aware of who these WBE's are and how they can fulfill their professional responsibilities by hiring/buying from these qualified businesses.
