SEPT. 19, Lt. Governor Aiona makes welcoming remarks at the Hawai‘i Seniors Fair, designed to promote healthy living among people who at least age 50. Various state departments and agencies will participate in the three-day expo to provide important information to Hawai‘i’s seniors and their families.

, PRIMARY ELECTION DAY

SEPT. 20, Lt. Governor Aiona delivers remarks at the “Festa,” an annual cultural event sponsored by the Hawai‘i Council on Portuguese Heritage.

SEPT. 22, Lt. Governor Aiona discusses state issues on his weekly radio show with KHVH 830 AM host Mike Buck. Listeners with questions and comments are invited to call (808) 521-8383. The show will be webcast live on the Lt. Governor’s web site at http://hawaii.gov/ltgov.

SEPT. 23, Lt. Governor Aiona holds a news conference to announce a new statewide campaign against underage drinking in Hawai‘i.
 
SEPT. 25, Lt. Governor Aiona joins state transportation officials at a ceremony on Maui to mark the official opening of the newly widened Haleakala Highway.

, Lt. Governor Aiona addresses the Rotary Club of Downtown Honolulu.

SEPT. 26, As part of a month-long effort to focus on those on the path to recovery from alcohol and drug abuse, Lt. Governor Aiona addresses an educational summit and health fair sponsored by CARE Hawai‘i.

SEPT. 27, Lt. Governor Aiona delivers welcoming remarks at Japanese Cultural Center event honoring three community leaders and a corporation from Hawai‘i.

SEPT. 28, Lt. Governor Aiona helps promote cycling as a fun and easy way for Hawai‘i residents to get fit at the 27th annual Honolulu Century Ride, considered the oldest cycling event in the state.
