Graduate work on social networks in birds?
or conservation of vertebrates native to Wyoming (native fish and pocket gophers)?
For the former, should have strong quantitative skills (or aptitude/interest) and a strong interest in social behavior.
I'd prefer someone with a strong quantitative bent. Likely fieldwork in Ecuador, Costa Rica or Brazil.
For the latter, fisheries field experience (particularly spawning or hatchery experience)
or lab (particularly PCR/AFLP) and quantitative skills.

Behavioral ecology, social network models, genetic markers, evolutionary demography, sexual
selection, cooperation, phylogeography of montane and alpine animals.
Taxa: manakins, suckers (native fish), Wyoming pocket gopher (Thomomys clusius) , Oreohelix snails, Leucosticte rosy-finches,
owls, black-footed ferrets, bears.
