Lt. Governor Names Constitutional Convention Cost Task Force
The Lt. Governor is leading an 11-member task force to study the cost of convening a convention to update the Hawai‘i State Constitution. The task force will convene a series of public meetings and consider a range of factors that could affect the overall cost of a constitutional convention, making available its findings in a public report no later than August 1, 2008. Earlier this month, Governor Lingle asked the Lt. Governor to chair the task force.
