Congress Approves Aerospace Revitalization Task Force Bill
|
|
WASHINGTON, D.C.
– Congress this week unanimously approved H.R. 758, the Aerospace Revitalization Task Force bill sponsored by Rep. Vern Ehlers (MI-3). The measure will now be sent to the President for his consideration
H.R. 758, the Aerospace Revitalization Task Force bill, establishes the Interagency Aerospace Revitalization Task Force to develop a strategy for the federal government for aerospace workforce development.
The measure also directs the Task Force to develop: (1) cooperation among federal agencies to provide a skilled workforce; (2) integrated federal policies to promote and monitor public and private sector education and training programs for science, engineering, technology, mathematics, and skilled trades; and (3) partnerships with industry, organized labor, academia, and state and local governments for occupational information and for workforce education, training, and certification resources, including grants, loans, and scholarships.
