Victim Services
Online Application for Crime Victims Compensation
Applications for reparations may be filed in person with the Attorney General’s Office, online through this form or by mail. Applicants may represent themselves, or be assisted by attorneys. Attorneys are not permitted to charge applicants for their legal services, but they may make application to the program for compensation of their legal fees at a rate of $60 per hour.
The law provides for payment of an emergency award to qualified claimants who, because of the crime, no longer have access to resources that provide basic necessities. If this applies to you, after your application has been filed, you may call Crime Victims Compensation to request an emergency award.
