A CARES Local Advisory Panel (LAP) to replace the infrastructure of the VA Primary and Extended Care Center in St. Albans, NY will hold a Public Meeting on Thursday, October 19, 2006. The meeting is open to the public and will be held at the Pratt Auditorium, VA Primary and Extended Care Center, 179th & Linden Blvd., St. Albans, NY 11425 from 4:00PM to 8:00PM.
The purpose of the Public Meeting is to present the VA Secretary's decision concerning the SA CARES Study and discuss what it means for the reconstruction of VA Primary and Extended Care Center. The public is encouraged to attend and present ideas, suggestions and concerns regarding the new construction of the nursing home, ambulatory care center and domiciliary and offer ideas and proposals for the potential uses of excess property.
Information concerning the SA CARES Study and is available on the VA CARES website: http://www.va.gov/cares. The LAP will accept written comments, not presented at the meeting, until October 29, 2006.
