Planning meeting for a
Special Journal Issue on the Eastern Bering Sea
A special journal issue (Fisheries Oceanography, Progress
in Oceanography, or Topical Studies in Oceanography) on the southeastern
Bering Sea ecosystem is planned for publication in 2001. A theme
for the issue will be established by the special issue advisory panel consisting
of George Hunt, Jim Overland, Phyllis Stabeno, and Anne Hollowed.
Potential contributors may submit candidate titles, authors, and brief
descriptions (objectives, data sets, etc.) as soon as October 25, 1999.
Submission of this information does not preclude additional submissions
later, nor are the authors bound, at this time, to produce candidate manuscripts.
January 2000 is a target for finalization of content. Draft manuscripts
to be read by all contributors are due July 1, 2000. Final manuscripts
are due September 1, 2000.
