Mount St. Helens Sno-Parks to Reopen for Winter.   The popular Marble Mountain and Cougar Sno-Parks on the south side of Mount St. Helens are open this winter.

Scenic Attractions: This groomed road meanders through majestic green forests, ghostly gray trees lost to mudflows on May 18, 1980, and snow-cloaked lava flows. You will enjoy beautiful views of the frozen crater rim of Mount St. Helens as you snowmobile or ski along Trail 8100.
Remarks: Goat Marsh Research Natural Area, the Mount St. Helens crater, and Spirit Lake basin are closed to snowmobiles. Violations of 36 CFR 261 may result in confiscation of equipment, fines up to $5,000.00, and/or six months in jail.

Scenic Attractions: A stark landscape was created on May 18, 1980, when tremendous mudflows scoured through Sheep Canyon and the South Fork of the Toutle River. You can discover the soft beauty of this rugged winter landscape by following Trail 8100 to 8123. Sheep Canyon is 10.5 miles from the Sno*Park.

Scenic Attractions: Designed as a long distance ski trail, only this trail provides much variety and scenery. Each loop route have connectors to Forest Road 8100 for smooth descents back to the Sno*Park. Forest Road 8100 can be reached, easily, several times more from Trail 231. This is a long and very scenic trail which includes a 0.5 mile spur into the Goat Marsh Lake area.
