Middle Service - Trailhead is on FR 8831 about 0.2 miles north of the junction of roads FR 6020, FR 24 and FR 8831.

Road 8821 and Middle Trail #26

Special Conditions:

This trail intersects and follows an old road for approximately one-third of its length.

Description:

This trail begins on Road 8821 and follows an old skid road for 1 mile through open stands of spruce to Deadhorse Meadow. The trail crosses Road 8831 and enters a harvest unit, then continues across Smoky and Little Goose Creeks before ending on Trail #26, 0.5 mile northwest of Little Goose Campground. The trail also continues from the 8821 road southeast, 2 miles to the State Forest Road T6000, this road comes out on Road 141.

Portions of the Service Trail follow the original wagon route into the forest built in the early 1900s.
