Producer price highlights, 1994

Price increases at the producer level were generally moderate, as the nation completed another year of sustained economic growth. Prices received by domestic producers of finished goods rose 1.7 percent between December 1993 and December 1994. This article summarizes the changes in producer prices during 1994, including those for food, energy, intermediate materials, crude materials, and selected industries.
