WEST GLACIER, MONT. – Join Glacier National Park’s partners at Lake McDonald Lodge for the third annual “Spring for Glacier” fundraiser on Friday, May 26, 2006. Proceeds will benefit The Glacier Fund, The Glacier Institute, the Glacier Natural History Association, and the Glacier National Park Associates; each of these non-profit partners provides support to the park. Through this exciting event, these partners have already provided over $100,000 for park programs, projects, and in-kind services.

The event begins at the historic Belton Chalet in West Glacier at 5 p.m. with cocktails, hors d’oeurves, and tours of the hotel. From the Chalet, attendees will be transported aboard historic red buses to the Lake McDonald Lodge, where dinner and entertainment will be offered.

Beginning at 7 p.m. the following activities are scheduled: boat tours will be provided by Glacier Park Boat Company; pianist Bob Chambers will play in the hotel lobby; and many unique and wonderful items, featuring Glacier National Park art and memorabilia, will be available for bidding in a silent and a regular auction.

For those wishing to spend the evening, the Belton Chalet will offer special overnight rates to guests. A shuttle will be available. Call 406-888-5000 for more information.

Join the park partners for an exciting evening benefiting Glacier National Park. The cost is $125 per person or $250 per couple. Tickets are limited, and must be purchased by May 22.

Did You Know?
Glacier National park was named for the glaciers that carved, sculpted, and formed this landscape millions of years ago. Despite the recession of current glaciers, the park's name will not change when the glaciers are gone.
