Be A Junior Ranger

Explore, Learn, Protect, & have FUN!

Theodore Roosevelt National Park invites children 6 years of age and older to become official Junior Rangers. You can earn a Junior Ranger badge when you help Theodore Roosevelt National Park rangers protect the park.

Pick up a free Junior Ranger Journal at any park visitor center. You are just three fun steps away from becoming a Junior Ranger:

1) Read and sign the Junior Ranger pledge.

2) Complete the following pages in your journal:

Ages 6-8........ Complete pages 1-13

Ages 9 & up.... Complete pages 1-5 & 14-21

3) Help keep the park clean by picking up at least five pieces of litter as you visit various locations in the park.

After you complete all of your activities, review them with a ranger. The ranger will sign your certificate and award you with an official Junior Ranger badge!

Be a WebRanger!

Now you can be a Junior Ranger even if you are not able to visit a national park. All you need is the internet. To start your WebRanger adventures go to www.nps.gov/webrangers
