GreenTools Program

King County's GreenTools program helps builders, residents, businesses and governments create and sustain "green" buildings and developments. The GreenTools Team can help users with technical assistance, grants, hands-on training, and the information to find locally-produced, high quality sustainable building materials and resources.

Green Building Team

The Green Building Team provides support for and promotes the implementation of King County's Green Building Ordinance. The Green Building Team also helps King County project managers and staff implement green building practices.

Green Building Ordinance

King County's Green Building Ordinance encourages green building practices in all King County building projects and directs county offices and departments to incorporate the use of the Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED™) green building rating system.
