Vehicle access to Ape Cave will be allowed from noon on Fridays through Sunday.

The point of closure will be the gate just beyond the Trail of Two Forests trailhead parking lot on Forest Road 8303. Foot traffic will be allowed during the closure periods from the Trail of Two Forests parking lot to the Ape Cave Interpretive Site parking lot, a distance of 1/4 mile.

Questions concerning the daily status of vehicle access to the Ape Cave Interpretive site will be answered by the information desk at the Mount St. Helens National Volcanic Monument Headquarters (360) 247-3900.
