Summer Transportation to Au Sable Light Station   
On select Saturdays in July and August, 2006 and 2007, the Lakeshore partnered with the Munising-based public transportation company
Altran for van transportation to the Au Sable Light Station.  Altran transported people with mobility limitations on the hour for a $5 round trip fee. The van was be available from noon to 5 p.m. Visitors met the driver in the picnic area parking lot.  Please email the visitor center for the current year's schedule.

The North Country National Scenic Trail stretches from North Dakota to New York, a distance of 3,200 miles.  

Did You Know?
The North Country National Scenic Trail connects outstanding scenic, natural, and cultural sites in seven northern states from Crown Point, New York, to Lake Sakakawea in North Dakota. The trail was established on March 5, 1980. Pictured Rocks National Lakeshore is home to 42 miles of the NCNST.
