AGREEMENT ESTABLISHING AN
ALLIANCE BETWEEN THE OCCUPATIONAL SAFETY AND HEALTH ADMINISTRATION U. S. DEPARTMENT OF LABOR THE NEBRASKA DEPARTMENT OF LABOR, WORKFORCE DEVELOPMENT OSHA CONSULTATION PROGRAM AND THE STATE OF NEBRASKA OFFICE OF HIGHWAY SAFETY |
|||||||||
The Occupational Safety and Health Administration (OSHA); the Nebraska Department of Labor, Workforce Development, OSHA Consultation Program; and the State of Nebraska Office of Highway Safety (NOHS) recognize the value of establishing a collaborative relationship to foster safer and more healthful American workplaces. OSHA and NOHS hereby form an Alliance to promote roadway work zone safety by providing roadway users with information, guidance, and access to training resources that will help them understand and appreciate the risks associated with roadway work zones and better protect the health and safety of employees working in these areas. It is also the intention of this Alliance to reduce injuries and fatalities associated with employment in trucking terminals, particularly in reducing struck-by and run-over incidents. OSHA, Consultation, and NOHS will work together to achieve the following training and education goals:
An implementation team made up of representatives from all Alliance organizations will meet to develop a plan of action, determine working procedures, and identify the roles and responsibilities of the Alliance participants. In addition, they will meet at least quarterly to track and share information on activities and results in achieving the goals of the Alliance. This agreement will remain in effect for two years from the date of signing. Any signatory to This Alliance may terminate the agreement for any reason at any time, provided they give 30 days written notice. This agreement may be modified at any time with the concurrence of all signatories.
