The park has a small convenience/camp store adjacent to the Malaquite Visitor Center. Basic picnic supplies, sandwiches, drinks (including beer), souvenirs, beach attire, swimsuits, simple fishing tackle, and other amenities are available. Hours are usually 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. but are extended to 5:00 p.m. or later during the summer and on special occasions.
Beach wheelchairs are available for loan, but must be returned by the Visitor Center's closing time.  

Did You Know?
Padre Island National Seashore has two wheelchairs designed for use on loose sand available for loan at no charge? Users must leave a driver's license or their personal wheelchair at the information desk while the beach wheelchairs are on loan.
