Distance Learning and Copyright: A Guide to Legal Issues
By 2010, it is estimated that virtually all colleges and some K through 12 schools will offer some part of their curriculum via distance learning technology. However, the law in this area is underdeveloped and often what is permissible for classroom teaching situations constitutes copyright infringement when used in distance learning. This book explains this disparate treatment, informs educators and attorneys about the legal responsibilities of teaching distance learning courses, and can help educational institutions avoid unwanted copyright infringement liability.
