Nestled away in the rolling hills of North Central West Virginia along the Monongahela, Tygart, and West Fork Rivers, the NASA IV&V Facility is located in the city of Fairmont. Fairmont is the county seat of Marion County and is the largest municipality in Marion County with a population of just over 20,000. The city was chartered on February 18, 1899.
