DEPARTMENT OF LABOR Office of the Secretary Submission for OMB Review; Comment Request June 19, 2003. The Department of Labor (DOL) has submitted the following public information collection request (ICR) to the Office of Management and Budget (OMB) for review and approval in accordance with the Paperwork Reduction Act of 1995 (Pub. L. 104-13, 44 U.S.C. Chapter 35). A copy of this ICR, with applicable supporting documentation, may be obtained by calling the Department of Labor. Title: Reports of Injuries to Employees Operating Mechanical Power Presses. OMB Number: 1218-0070. Frequency: On occasion. Type of Response: Reporting. Affected Public: Business or other for-profit; Not-for-profit institutions; Federal Government; and State, Local or Tribal Government. Number of Respondents: 75. Total Annual Responses: 75. Average Response Time: 20 minutes. Annual Burden Hours: 25. Description: In the event an employee is injured while operating a mechanical power press, 29 CFR 1910.217(g) requires an employer to provide information to OSHA regarding the accident within 30 days of the accident. These reports are a source of up-to-date information on power press machines. Particularly, this information identifies the equipment used and conditions associated with these injuries. Ira L.
