DisabilityInfo.gov (www.DisabilityInfo.gov) is a one-stop federal Web site designed to offer people with disabilities access to the information and resources they need to fully participate in the workforce and in their communities. Managed by the U.S. Department of Labor's Office of Disability Employment Policy (ODEP) (www.dol.gov/odep), DisabilityInfo.gov offers a broad range of valuable information, not only for people with disabilities, but also their family members, service providers, employers and many others.

With 22 federal agencies contributing content to this Web site, DisabilityInfo.gov contains extensive, frequently updated information on a host of cross-cutting topics. Easy to navigate, the Web site is organized into subject areas, which include benefits, civil rights, community life, education, employment, health, housing, technology and transportation. By selecting a category from the tabs at the top of the home page, visitors to the Web site are directed to practical information on assistive technologies, civil rights laws, universal design, accessible transportation and much more.

The Technology section of the Web site offers a wide range of information on accessibility, assistive and adaptive technologies and laws and regulations related to technology, such as the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA). Featured resources include the Department of Defense's Computer/Electronic Accommodations Program (CAP); the Department of Agriculture's TARGET Center; and the General Service Administration's Center for Information Technology Accommodation, which provides assistive technology solutions to eliminate barriers for people with disabilities. The site also includes links to ABLEDATA, a database of products used to assist people with disabilities in activities of daily living; and AbilityHub, which directs users to adaptive equipment and alternative methods for accessing computers.
