Commission Schedules Town Halls and Open Houses on PacifiCorp Acquisition

Salem, OR – The Oregon Public Utility Commission has scheduled a series of Open House and Town Hall events in Portland, Pendleton, Bend, Klamath Falls and Medford during the month of October to provide information and obtain comments from the public about the proposed sale of PacifiCorp to MidAmerican Energy Holdings Company (MidAmerican).
The public is invited to attend the Open House at anytime from 6:30 p.m. to 8:00 p.m. Open House meetings are very informal; people can come and go as they please, take information, ask questions, and make comments for the record. Members of the Commission Staff, MidAmerican, PacifiCorp, and customer groups will be available to answer individual questions during this time.
The Town Hall events in Medford Oct. 11th and Portland Oct. 25th will use a more traditional format to provide information and receive comments from the public. The Commissioners will attend the Town Hall meetings to receive comments directly from the public. The meetings will be conducted by a facilitator.
