FAQ
DOCLINE -- Learning DOCLINE

Question: How do I learn DOCLINE?
Answer:

There is an online manual available in DOCLINE, as well as a series of FAQs. These are located under the Help menu item in DOCLINE.

A Web-based tutorial for the DOCLINE system is available as part of the National Network of Libraries of Medicine (NN/LM) site. This tutorial provides a step-by-step overview of DOCLINE's functions, illustrated by screen shots. It is intended for new DOCLINE users and for those who would like a review of the system. It was created by staff of the NN/LM regional offices of the Pacific Northwest and Midcontinental regions. The tutorial is available at http://nnlm.gov/train/tutor/docline/.

You can find information about DOCLINE from the DOCLINE System page at http://www.nlm.nih.gov/docline/.

NLM hosts DOCLINE-L, a discussion list which posts announcements, news, and member discussions about DOCLINE features, developments and issues.

For training, you should contact your Regional DOCLINE Coordinator. The National Network of Libraries of Medicine's Regional Medical Libraries provide training and user assistance for DOCLINE in their respective regions. A member of your region's office will reply to your question. Your DOCLINE coordinator can be reached by calling 1-800-338-7657. Their Web site is available at http://nnlm.gov/.

Canadian libraries can reach their DOCLINE Coordinator at docline.cisti@nrc.cnrc.gc.ca or by calling 1-800-668-1222.

Mexican libraries can reach their DOCLINE Coordinator at docline@exch.library.tmc.edu or by calling 1-800-338-7657. Questions may be directed to Ms. Karen Bϋlow.
