Description
This is a grass roots organization made up of pathologists, cytotechnologists, laboratories, new technology companies, patients, and women's groups. NCCC's mission is to: enhance awareness of the traditional Pap smear technologies, treatment and screening costs; develop a grass roots effort directed toward the difficulties that current below cost, low levels of reimbursement rates cause for the traditional Pap smear and potential new technology; communicate the importance and success of cervical cancer screening as a national communicable disease/cancer screening test to lower cervical cancer rates; review national and international cervical cancer screening and treatment programs; and provide as a clearinghouse cervical cancer information to women and their families.
