Description

The ERC is an established 501(c)3 Tax-exempt, tax deductible organization founded by executive Director Michelle E Marvel in Early 1997 to address the growing International need for Endometriosis education, research facilitation, support and awareness. The ERC is unique in that unlike similar organizations, there is never a cost to join, participate in, or benefit from the ERC's extensive programs. The ERC maintains and offers a vast database of accurate materials on every aspect of endometriosis to health practitioners, researchers, patients of all ages, and all those interested in the disease. The organization also raises significant awareness and provides education about Endometriosis not only in patient and medical communities, but on state and federal levels as well. The organization has been very successful in working with concerned legislators and policymakers to establish Resolutions recognizing the need for awareness throughout society. To that end, the states of Colorado, New York, Michigan, Florida, California and Pennsylvania have all worked with the ERC to pass one or more official Resolutions formally recognizing the Month of March as "Endometriosis Awareness Month." Most exciting however, is the ERC's work on H Con. Res 291, our Country's first-ever National legislation for Endometriosis Awareness, unanimously passed by the 107th Congress of the United States. In addition to their research facilitation and patient education programs, they also offer a vast network for those with the disease and their loved ones. The ERC is pleased to host nearly 40 in-person support groups worldwide and is the owner of the Internet's largest electronic Endometriosis support group, currently with over 1,300 participants from around the globe. The ERC exists solely on the donations and contributions of concerned individuals, companies and organizations that share our vision of helping women with Endometriosis-and of someday finding a cure for the disease.
