Description

National Transplant Assistance Fund (NTAF), established in 1983, is dedicated to providing financial, social and emotional support to transplant patients and those afflicted by catastrophic injury. NTAF awards medical grants to eligible candidates, counsels patients regarding location of treatment centers, lifelong costs associated with their medical situation and other possible sources of financial assistance. NTAF helps patients' families and friends organize, launch and sustain fundraising campaigns in their own communities while assuring fiscal accountability as administrator. The goal is to allow patients to receive necessary treatments without suffering financial devastation. The organization is also deeply committed to educating the public about the critical need for organ and tissue donation by lecturing community groups on organ donor awareness and distributing free organ donor materials upon request.
