Description

The Brain Tumor Society exists to find a cure for brain tumors. We improve the quality of life of brain tumor patients, survivors and their families by providing access to psychosocial support, information and resources. We raise funds to advance carefully-selected research projects to enhance treatments and to find a cure. Our programs and services fall under Research, Education, and support. The BTS Research Grant Program promotes innovative and multi-disciplinary collaboration. We select highly-promising proposals that are likely to yield the most information and create greater opportunities to discover new treatments and, ultimately a cure. Our Education program provides informational materials on-line and in print at no charge to individuals or healthcare professionals. We sponsor symposia, seminars, and webcast conferences throughout the year. Our Support team provides personal support via our toll-free phone line and through email for patients, survivors and caregivers. We also connect individuals to support groups in their area. Though our Connection of Personal Experiences (COPE) Program, we match people in similar situations who can share insights.
