Description

Guide Dogs of America, formerly International Guiding Eyes, established in 1948, trains blind persons in the use of guide dogs, and trains and provides guide dogs free of charge to blind persons. Any person over 16 years of age who meets certain requirements of health and motivation may apply for a dog. Recipients spend four weeks at the school in training with their dogs.
