Description
The International Myopia Prevention Association is a nonprofit organization that provides information to the public about myopia research. The organization's position is that myopia is not inherited but is caused by excessive close work such as reading and looking at computer monitors. The Association supports the inclusion of myopia prevention in the education of optometrists and the development of a system of myopia prevention clinics throughout the country. Educational materials are available to the public.
