  • The number of arrests made in metropolitan counties in 2005 increased 1.7 percent when compared to the number of arrests reported for 2004. However, arrests for violent crime decreased 0.1 percent.
  • The number of arrests of adults for murder in metropolitan counties increased 9.0 percent in 2005.
  • The number of arrests of juveniles for forcible rape in metropolitan counties decreased 22.3 percent in 2005 when compared to the number of arrests for that offense in 2004.
  • The number of arrests of juveniles for arson offenses increased 11.1 percent in metropolitan counties in 2005.
