  • Adults (persons age 18 and over) accounted for 91.2 percent of all arrestees in nonmetropolitan counties in 2005. Juveniles (persons under age 18) accounted for 8.8 percent, and juveniles under 15 years of age accounted for 2.2 percent.
  • Juveniles accounted for 10 percent of all persons arrested for violent crime and 19.2 percent of those arrested for property crime in nonmetropolitan counties.
  • Persons between the ages of 18 and 24 percent accounted for 28.7 of all persons arrested in nonmetropolitan counties. (Based on Table 58.)
