WASHINGTON, April 16, 2006 – Four U.S. Marines were killed in action yesterday in Iraq's Anbar province, military officials in Baghdad announced today.
Three of the Marines were assigned to Regimental Combat Team 5, and the fourth was assigned to the 2/28 Brigade Combat Team.
Officials provided no other details. The Marines' names are being withheld pending notification of next of kin.
