Office of Audits: Communication with GSA Officials
Communication with GSA managers and contracting officers is the most important element in the audit process. Accordingly, we have expanded our solicitation of customer feedback over the last year. Each audit report includes a customer survey questionnaire that we hope will be completed by the cognizant manager or contracting officer. Our office uses the completed questionnaires to assess and improve the usefulness of our audits and related services. Internal questionnaires have only been included with the audit reports since May 1997. We have not received a sufficient number of responses to accurately assess how well we are doing. As for contract questionnaires, the satisfaction ratings have gotten substantially better since we conducted our initial customer survey in May 1996. The comments received from contacting officers reflect positively on our continuing commitment to and progress in meeting customer needs.
