This fact sheet explains the health problems experienced by women (DES Daughters) and men (DES Sons) who were exposed to DES (diethylstilbestrol) in utero as well as DES-exposed mothers. It lists special precautions DES-exposed patients should take and disusses problems with oral contraceptive use, hormone therapy, and fertility.
